Bewdley has been described as the most perfect small Georgian town in Worcestershire. Bewdley addresses the river Severn, is set within a rich and undulating landscape and provides a rich townscape heritage.
Its strongly defined character is based upon a well related collection of fine historic buildings and a series of landmark set pieces which include; Thomas Telford’s Bridge (1798), the imposing St. Anne’s Church at the head of Load Street and the river frontage and former quayside.
