Bewdley has been described as the most perfect small Georgian town in Worcestershire. Bewdley addresses the river Severn, is set within a rich and undulating landscape and provides a rich townscape heritage.

Its strongly defined character is based upon a well related collection of fine historic buildings and a series of landmark set pieces which include; Thomas Telford’s Bridge (1798), the imposing St. Anne’s Church at the head of Load Street and the river frontage and former quayside.

For those of you unfamiliar to Bewdley, a good starting point to get acquainted is the Visit Bewdley section.

Beryl Bubb, president, informed members that the entry for the Lady Denman Cup was unfortunately not in the top three to be forwarded to the National stage for judging. Instead of a speaker at the meeting, there was a mixture of readings, poems songs etc by members whichgenerated much laughter and enjoyment The garden party was a great success both socially and financially and enjoyed by all.
