The Mug House (01299 402543) on Severnside North offers an excellent choice including a fish menu and a great selection of local ales and some of the best river views. The Woodcolliers at 76 Welchgate specialises in Russian Cordon Bleu as well as traditional fayre (01299 400589) www.woodcolliers.co.uk . Other traditional pub options in the town are The Angel (01299 402271), the Black Boy Hotel (01299 402119) and the White Swan (01299 402230). HR’s (01299 404150), a lively bar on Load Street and The Horn & Trumpet (01299 403774) on Dog Lane offer sandwiches and light snacks.

Bewdley’s Chinese restaurant, Sam Pan (01299 404584) is also on Load Street, above street level, near to the bridge.
There is also very good food to be enjoyed in some of the surrounding villages.
