Transition Bewdley Land Group
Growing our own .....
After a very successful first public meeting at the end of March, the next get-together of the Transition Bewdley Land Group will take place on Thursday 29th April from
7.30pm to 9.00pm, at
This will start with a short presentation looking at the sort of things that are being done in other communities, followed by an informal ‘World Café’ style discussion to collect ideas and suggestions about the way forward in Bewdley.
Chris Leck, group member, said: ‘This will give us a chance to get to know one another a bit better, discuss our interests and consider how we would like to see the Land Group develop. It would be great if as many people as possible were able to contribute.’
‘We’d like to invite back all those who attended our first meeting and encourage them to bring along anyone else they feel may be interested in land use or growing and eating local food.’
The Land Group is lobbying Bewdley Town Council for the provision of allotments in the town, and is exploring the opportunities for land share to give gardeners wanting to grow food access to land.
Meanwhile the Group has produced its first newsletter. If you would like to add your name to the circulation list for this, please email your details to Gill Holland at gill@hollandhome.eclipse.co.uk or telephone 01299 400952.
