Getting to Bewdley

By Bus and Rail

Rail

London Midland and Chiltern Railways serve Kidderminster station. For more information to  www.nationalrail.co.uk. Change at Kidderminster for the Severn Valley Railway to Bewdley www.svr.co.uk.

Bus

From Kidderminster

Buses 2, 2A, 125, 291 and 292 to Bewdley Load Street leave from various locations in Kidderminster including the railway station and Exchange Street.

From Stourport

Buses 11 and 12 will bring you to Load Street

From Bridgnorth

Bus 125 will bring you to Load Street (last stop before the River Severn)

By Car

From Birmingham and the East

Take the A456 south-west (taking Hagley Road onto the Quinton Express Way). Carry on along the A456 through Hagley, Blakedown and Kidderminster. Pass the Safari Park on the left and at the roundabout take the second exit for Bewdley Town Centre.

From Tenbury Wells and the West

On the A456 pass the junction for the A4117 at Fingerpost. At the following roundabout take the first exit (B4190) for Bewdley Town Centre.

From Wolverhampton

Take the A449 to Kidderminster. Take the A456 to Bewdley.

From the North

Take the M6 South, leave on exit 8 and join the M5. Take the M5 to exit 3 and follow the A456 through Kidderminster to Bewdley.

From the South

Take the M5 North, leave on exit 6 and follow the A449 to Kidderminster. Take the A456 to Bewdley.

Long Stay – Gardners Meadow

To Bewdley Development Trust offices

Follow the road from Bewdley bridge up Load Street towards St Anne’s Church. Directly behind the Church is Park Lane Turn 200 metres up Park Lane. Snuff Mill Warehouse in on the right.

Community Transport

Community Transport Helpline – a registered charity providing a voluntary run car service open to anyone in North-West Worcestershire who cannot use other transport for essential journeys or who has no other transport available to them. A wheelchair car is also available. Charges are based on local bus fares.

Dial-A-Ride – A charitable organisation providing door-to-door transport for people who live within the Wyre Forest District and are experiencing mobility difficulties, which prevent them from using public transport. Minibuses have tail-lift facilities, which can accommodate people in wheelchairs or those experiencing difficulty in climbing steps.
