Getting to Bewdley by Car

From Birmingham and the East
Take the A456 south-west (taking Hagley Road onto the Quinton Express Way.) Carry on along the A456 through Hagley, Blakedown and Kidderminster. Pass the Safari Park on the left and at the roundabout take the second exit for Bewdley Town Centre.

From the Tenbury Wells and the West
On the A456 pass the junction for the A4117 at Fingerpost. At the following roundabout take the first exit (B4190) for Bewdley Town Centre.

From Wolverhampton
Take the A449 to Kidderminster. Take the A456 to Bewdley.

From the North
Take the M6 South, leave on exit 8 and join the M5. Take the M5 to exit 3 and follow the A456 through Kidderminster to Bewdley.

From the South
Take the M5 North, leave on exit 6 and follow the A449 to Kidderminster. Take the A456 to Bewdley.

Journey Planning

Take mainline rail services to Kidderminster.  From Kidderminster Station, exit the Station to Comberton Hill. Do not cross the road. Catch a number 2 bus from the stop opposite a parade of shops in the direction of Bewdley, Bark Hill. Alight in Load Street (first stop after crossing the River Severn.)

Alternatively, take a steam train to the town through the West Midlands Safari Park. Walk across the car park of Kidderminster station to the booking office of the Severn Valley Railway, a heritage steam railway running between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth.  Bewdley’s station is located just across the river from the town centre.  For further information and running times please visit www.svr.co.uk

Toc H - A registered charity providing a voluntary run car service open to anyone in North-West Worcestershire who cannot use other transport for essential journeys or has no other transport available to them. A wheelchair car is also available. Charges are based on local bus fares.
