Accessibility Standards
This website has been designed to be accessible to as many persons as possible by ensuring that the design features and underlying code comply with either legislation or recommended standards promoted by creditable organisations.

Unfortunately, there is in fact very little in the way of legislation, however we are aware of the following bodies who provide up to date standards and very good validation services to test pages of a website for example, W3C, The Cynthia Says Portal and the RNIB and web links are provided.

We are pleased to say that the Opportunity Bewdley Website has been submitted and already passed an extensive range of tests and mark up validation services, checking documents like HTML, XHTML and CSS for conformance to the W3C recommendations and various other standards. The site has also been submitted to the ‘Cynthia Says Portal’ which is designed to identify errors in design related to Section 508 Standards and WCHS Guidelines. The main purpose of the CS Portal being to educate Website Designers in the development of Web Based content that is accessible to all.

RNIB Website Accessibility Audit
The Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) provide an excellent specialist consultancy service who undertake a series of strict audit tests. This is then followed by a report and recommendations to improve website accessibility. An application has been submitted to apply for such an audit and we hope to be in a position to fund this very shortly. We would then hope to display the RNIB 'See it Right' Accessible Website logo on this site.

Please submit any helpful comments and suggestions for improvement by using our Contact Form.

Thank you.
